And the Most excited about SHP award goes to...

Me! well, this is according to two of my friends who are seniors at my school. one of them already did her SHP, and the other has yet to present. this means she doesn't have any senior privledges this year. i was talking to these two individuals yesterday morning before school about SHP, and telling them how i will be presenting on April 17th. this made them a little mad because they had to present last year on April 5th, so they don't think it's fair that i have more time. but i was so excited about it because i have all the hours done, i just need to write the paper, prepare for the presentation, and get all my other paperwork together for my portfolio. that's when one of my friends told me i've got to be the most excited person about Senior High Project in this school. i told her it's because i did/am doing something i love. i truely believe that it makes all the difference. so, i'll keep using those extra long study halls to work on my paper, and we'll see how everything goes.

done for now

Yesterday was my last show of the summer. i will be back in june of 2008 to continue the Squeaky Show. The show went really well. i had a School theme and a Goodbye theme. i had more songs in my Good bye theme this time around. so that was really nice. now i need to get crackin' on my paper and presentation . we recorded my show yesterday, and so hopefully that all worked out so i can use that. see, i want to compare how i was last year when i was recorded to this year. i want to show how i've improved. so another portion of this year has ended. summer's gone. the 2007 Squeaky Show is gone, and school is knocking at the door. as much as i would love to continue my show during the school year, i'm glad to have this break. i know it wouldn't be possible for me to do school and a show at the same time. so, all this means i won't be posting quite as much. but you can check out my other blog, and find out about all those weirdo thoughts that go through my head. i will try my best to update this during the year as i am working on my paper and stuff. and i will post how my presentation goes and everything. but that won't be quite as much as i have been posting.

100!

i'm officially at 100 hours! my best guess is that i'll have 120 or so by the time i'm done with the entire project. yesterday went really well. that special theme is going to happen on wednesday. And then i'll have my two themes for the last show of the summer. those two themes are School and Good-bye. i'll be making a list of songs for each theme, and play those sometime during the hour. in fact, i made a list of those songs. so it should be very exciting.

the final stretch

I calculated my hours today after my show. and i have 98 hours. only two more to go! well, actually, i have a lot more hours before i'm finished. but i have two more before i get to the 100 minimum. Some new Christian CDs came in since last week, so i got to play some newer things. i had lots of energy because i passed my driver's test today! i tried some more talking during the beginning of the song thing. and at the end of my show i actually told everyone what show they had been listening to for the past two hours. i just need to work on announcing that more often. i also need to get another show recorded. maybe i'll try to get that done for friday.

Stay tuned for a theme

that's right, try to hold in your excitment. but i am going to have a theme for my show. i'm looking at having this theme on friday. said theme will be announced on friday, and will probably be during the second hour(2-3PM). the shows last week went well. this week is back to the same old schedule. although anything that's going to get me used to the "real" world of working in radio is great. because i was on last tuesday, and then again on wednesday, it reminded me that once i'm done with college and hopefully get a job in radio, it'll be every day, not just two days a week. but that's totally cool, i'm really excited for when that happens. i was telling a friend of mine the other day that radio is just one of those things where i don't mind working hard to do it, but yet it just flows, and i just seem to have a gift for it. it's awesome. a lot of people at school constantly tell me that they can't believe that i do radio for free, and don't get paid for it. but i really don't care at this point. i don't really need any money from it, and i can't earn any money from it since it's for my Senior High Project.(that's one of the rules for it) but the experiance is worth a lot more than any money could be for me. and that's what i'm about right now. gaining experiance.

Breaking News!

I will be on the radio Tomorrow from 1pm till whenever i decide to stop. well, that'd be five at the latest. I had a conflict with work for this friday, so i'll be on tomorrow instead of friday. i'll still be on wednesday, so tune in then. it'll be a nice way to get out of routine for once.
